Private Lesson Information
| Ms. Williams is currently accepting harp students of all ages and experience levels interested in both classical and traditional Irish music on pedal and lever harps. Lessons available weekdays and weekends in a South Loop studio (Polk/Wells) in Chicago, IL or through the Chicago Irish Music School Tuesday evenings, and Logos School of Music(Niles) Thursday evenings. Please contact me at 773-791-7520 or marguerite@mlwharp.com to inquire about available lesson times Along with being an active performer, I am very passionate about teaching. Before moving to Chicago I served as harp professor at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami, in Miami, FL. I have also been the harp teacher for the People's Music School in Chicago, IL; chamber music coach for the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra; harp coach for both the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra and Chicago Youth Concert Orchestra; and taught privately for over 12 years. Past students have been awarded full-tuition scholarships to the Interlochen Arts High School Academy and Summer Institute, Northern Illinois University, the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, and the University of Miami. Students also regularly attend master classes and participate in both local recitals and national harp competitions. |
